“I'm drawn to the stories that architecture tells - of people, place, and purpose. And I find deep satisfaction in shaping those stories, in understanding how each element fits together to create something lasting and meaningful“

Why I chose architecture:  I've always been a passionate explorer—starting with my childhood in the hills of West Virginia and later traveling with friends across distant countries. These experiences sparked a deep, lasting interest in history and architecture, especially in how we inhabit and interact with the built environment. What I love about what I do: I love the entire process—from the first design meetings with clients, where possibilities are uncovered, to diving into the details and solving the puzzle. Then comes construction, where ideas take shape, and finally, the most rewarding part: seeing how people live in and interact with the finished spaces. Interesting thing about me: Over the years, I've gained an interest in woodworking. I came across a 1956 Lyman Runabout mahogany speedboat that needed lots of love and attention. I spent a few summers restoring it to its former glory, repairing its lapstrake planking and classic mahogany benches and bow, while adding a few of my own touches.

Why I chose architecture: I've always loved math and art. It wasn't until my senior year of high school that I connected those dots and discovered my love for architecture and design! What I love about what I do:  Building relationships. I have the pleasure of working with so many talented clients and colleagues and I'm lucky to call many of them friends. Favorite architecture style: It's tough to pick one, but I'm always a sucker for some mid-century Case Study Houses!

Why I chose architecture: I’ve always been artistically and creatively inclined. I always liked to draw as a kid.  What I love most about architecture: The power to enhance how we experience the world around us. If I can make a place even a little bit more beautiful with my work then I think that’s a great thing.  I am most motivated by simple intuition when I design, always thinking about movement, lines of sight, and continuity in a building’s form. Favorite architecture style: It’s hard to pinpoint, but Santiago Calatrava is probably my favorite architect right now. I visited his City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia when I studied abroad a couple years ago and was amazed.
